Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Let Israel now say,
“His mercy endures forever.”
Let the house of Aaron now say,
“His mercy endures forever.”
Let those who fear the Lord now say,
“His mercy endures forever.” (Psalm 118:1-4)
God has extended his mercy on America for a period of time because of many intercessory prayers. This does not mean that He has suspended altogether his judgement upon America, but it does mean that we have been given a limited time to pray for and witness to those we love. It does mean that lukewarm churches have an opportunity to repent and enter into a deeper fellowship with Jesus Christ as head of the church. It does mean that a revival is once again possible for our communities, if not for our nation. What will we do with this opportunity? Will it be business as usual?
The rapture is still on the way. Jesus is looking for a church without spot or wrinkle. Unfortunately, for now, in America, that means a limited number of people. He will not be raising up denominations or organizations. He will not just select those who have their “doctrine right.” He will raise up his sheep who hear his voice, repent of their, and follow him in obedience to the faith.
